AI isn’t replacing design. It’s exposing what design was never meant to be. AI can generate screens and flows at scale, but it can’t decide which problems matter, what users should care about, or how trust is built over time. Those require human judgment, context, and accountability.
As AI speeds up execution, roles across product, design, and engineering are blurring. Impact now comes from holistic thinking and decisive execution not narrow specialisation.
Strong designers are system thinkers. They frame the real problem, design for ambiguity, align user needs with business outcomes, and influence strategy beyond interfaces.
AI raises the bar for design. Designers who use AI as a force multiplier grow their impact. Those who don’t risk becoming irrelevant. My focus is combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution using AI to move faster while staying responsible for the decisions that shape the product.
